Les Années passent was released in 1976, and featured Roger Hawkins on drums, Barry Beckett on piano and synthesizer, Jimmy Johnson on guitar, David Hood on bass, Jim Zeller on harmonica and the Muscle Shoals Horns. Hawkins, Beckett, Johnson and Hood were also collectively known as the legendary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, best known for playing on hits like "Respect" by Aretha Franklin, "Mustang Sally" by Wilson Pickett, "Kodachrome" by Paul Simon and "I'll Take You There" by The Staple Singers at their own Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. In addition to Muscle Shoals, the album was recorded at Studio Six and Son Quebec in Montreal, and Criteria Studios in Miami. "Loin d'ici," an up-tempo dancefloor thumper, is the first song on the album. "L'ile a lou" is a slower, reggae-inflected tune, and may or may not be a cover, as it sounds kind of familiar to me. And "Bebe Lady" and "Sexy Lady" are slow jams about...oh, you guessed!
