Compilation of classic early hip-hop from Enjoy! Records catalog.
Tracks A3, B1 and C2 are misleadingly credited to the Treacherous Three with Kool Moe Dee (probably due to Kool Moe Dee's popularity at the time this compilation was released). They were originally issued under the name of Treacherous Three.
Track A2 is incorrectly credited to Spoonie Gee & The Treacherous Three. It's a Spoonie Gee solo track.
Spoonie Gee is not listed as an artist on track D1. However, he was originally credited as a lead artist on the single.

As with most of the HOT Productions "best of" label series, some songs may have been edited down/shortened from their original length. In this case, we get a faded version of "Superrappin"" which never lets us hear the famous MELLE MEL verse later to be used on "The Message".
The good news is that the rest of the tracks appear to be full length.
Sounds like this was done from the master tapes, which is very refreshing.

I used to own this & I'm defo going to cop it again! 1 of the very best early hip hop compilations & as good a history lesson you'll find for youngsters who are intrested in the origins of hip hop music!!
