Stumbled across this by pure luck in a US store last week. By FAR the best version I have owned. The US gold pressing was garbage (noisy and extremely warped), this one is quite the opposite.
I love this pressing. Plays great on my system, and I love how the disc colour changes to a beautiful amber when held up to the light. Dunno why this happens, but it's so cool! The packaging quality is great too.- Exists a very US press? Or there’s only unique press for the two markets?
Edited one year agoOn my copy the barcode 19439783421 is stickered over the printed barcode 194397809916, the spine reads 19439780991, on the labels 19439780991, on the backcover: Made in the EU LC00162/19439780991
Bought it in Germany so i don't think that this is an US-Version. Also has an German Sony Records adress printed on the backcover.
Real US pressing or EU one with stickered barcode? Thank you- Totally disappointed. Terrible pressing. Surface noise galore. What was M. Fremer of Analog Planet thinking when he recommended this MPO pressing? And why doesn't an artist like Dylan, who is always preaching the good old days on this particular piece, look behind the scenes and see what's happening in terms of quality control.
Great album overall and a great pressing. I hope this isn't his last album!
Great cover suitable for a frame. I think this will be his last album. (i hope not), i also think Dylan sees what happened to Kennedy as a turning point in this world for one could argue many different outcomes if Kennedy had lived. This also makes me think his assassination has been on his mind for so long that now his image takes a whole half of his cover release.I have always like Dylan but now i can appreciate his music more and how i feel lucky to be able to say i bought one of his releases and an original at that. I feel like i am in the 60's, the decade before i was born. I have been collecting since i was 15 and this is my first colored vinyl also. Now i have got to just teach my kids to listen also and explore something that isn't rap.
