Cleo Sol – Rose In The Dark

Unnecessarily super expensive for a single LP.
Yes ,the cover is very heavy cardboard, but it's also poorly designed and it's difficult to get the vinyl back in the cover ; as it's like two tightly sandwiched pieces of card with no defined spine .
Plain paper inner sleeve with no poly liner !
No download code either; which is the least they should provide at the cost endured.
Unfortunately my vinyl came out of this sturdy package with an extreme warp .
Fortunately it plays without skipping, which I was very surprised to hear as it looks shocking!
Also happy to add that the sound quality is excellent and clear and I didn't experience any obvious distortion, pops or clicks.

This album sounds amazing. Great songwriting, great musicians (I'm guessing it's Sault), and a really good pressing. The album cover is a little large, so you may have to search for a sleeve that will fit it.

I'm quite positive this album will be a future classic. Clearly influenced by neo-soul acts like Erykah Badu and Solange but also has strong roots in classic 70s female soul like Minnie Riperton. Wonderful, stripped-down production and instrumentation.

Excellent pressing. The cost is probably down to rarity, but it does include a high quality booklet. One odd thing is that the (beautiful) cover is BIG! 32.5 cm or 12.8 inches. I did manage to find a slightly larger plastic sleeve, but be prepared for the fact that this might stick out of your 12" storage. I love the warmth of Cleo Sol's voice - the voice of Sault.

Just got my copy - this
pressing is expensive sensational!

Took my original copy back due to the static noises and crackling that peaks around the vocals mainly on side B, 2nd copy does exactly the same in the same places so must be a bad pressing which is a huge shame for such a good album at such a premium too.

Why is this release so expensive, is it a very limited pressing?
