Reviews
- Edited 4 months agoI find that this pressing has lots of surface noise (or noise from the source audio?). Really disappointing considering how delicate and beautiful some of the tracks on this album are, such as "Why Worry" and "Ride Across the River". Bought new from Amazon and returned.
- Outstanding pressing of this record. Really quiet, no noise no pops. Dynamic and big sound, warm and great bottom and high ends.
- Edited one year agoI bought the album with some reservation, since, pressing back to black are flat sound, however this reissue is the exception they have done an incredible job the album sounds incredible, I even perceive details that in the 1985 edition, verigo records are not appreciated . The highs are brilliant, there's almost no whistle, and the lows are accurate, as are the mids. I am very satisfied with this edition, even dare I say that it sounds a little better than the Music On Vinyl reissue, which I once had. I totally recommend this version.
the only bad thing, face 2 is slightly off-center, but it does not affect the player, and face 4 is not completely flat, with the disc stabilizer it improves substantially and is not gatefold, a shame the inlay are very dirt, a lot plastic dust - The mastering sounds great. Zero warping. Sides A-C were whisper quiet, but I'm battling static and dust on side D (they really shouldn't put these in cardboard sleeves)
- How does it stand up to the Stan Ricker Warner Bros pressing? I think that's superbbut I'd like the MOFI too!
- All are advantages with this edition. The quality is very good, the songs are not edited and it is cheap. I've had the same edition of Back To Black on a single record and this one is superior.
