- I recently got a copy of this and was surprised to find that it was absolutely flawless. I don’t know if I was lucky or if the new repress fixed the previous surface noise issues. It still comes with the nasty inner sleeves though, which did leave some paper scuffs on the record, although nothing that would affect play. Technics 1200GR / AT-VMN95ML
- Out of the sleeve, first time listen after gentle Spin-Clean, this one is a bit noisy. My Nagaoka MP-110/Technics SL3200 and Croft RIAA did push the noise to the outer edge of the soundstage however. The noise is less audible on loud passages, but you can still hear it if you try to do so. I DID purchase this 2LP set "used" (a return most likely) from Amazon, but AMZ stated a bent cover was the only issue. On the other hand, the records all played quite well for the number of visible imperfections! If I were selling this would probably be best called VG/VG+. I think I have it on CD also.
- Incredible album. Great sound. The pressing (my copy), as a pity, is not at all at the same level. Campfire feeling throughout all four sides. Better get this one streamed, and enjoy An Angel Fell on vinyl, for this is really a fantastic pressing.
- Excellent record, and the sound is very good too, but all 4 sides came completely scuffed, and I can hear some distortion on multiple occasions... At this price, you can buy for the music, but not for a noise-free audiophile experience
- Edited 2 years agoGreat album! Unfortunately my pressing is glitchy, it has an annoying low-level static sound on the right channel throughout side one and part of side two (kills the vibe when going in for a deep listen, which is what this record calls for!).
- Fantastic album, gorgeous cover, great release. Jazzy & funky as hell - a must have! My pressing is not flawless, some distortion at the end of side A and B, but not for long. The sound is punchy...
