Notes
• 25th anniversary of this classic album, remastered from the original source material
• 2LP set housed in a 52 page cloth bound coffee table photo book
• "Electric Blue" vinyl, exclusive to independent record stores
• Includes earliest known live solo recordings from September 17, 1994
To commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Elliott Smith, Kill Rock Stars has released a special deluxe package, which includes a new remastering of the original record; a coffee table book of rare and previously unseen photographs by JJ Gonson with handwritten lyrics, and reminiscences from Smith’s friends and colleagues; and a bonus disc documenting the earliest known recording of Smith performing as a solo act. The set is a revelatory look at an under-appreciated work by an artist whose influence continues to expand seventeen years after his death.
Recorded Jan/Feb '95 at Leslie Uppinghouse's house except "Needle In The Hay" and "Alphabet Town" Sept '94 at Tony Lash's house. Mixed with much help from Tony and Leslie at Tony's house. Rebecca Gates courtesy [of] Sub Pop Records.
Includes Bandcamp download card for the entire album.

Reviews
- doesn't have the sharp transients or 'in the room' presence of the original cut (though the remaster fixes some sibilance issues) but the bonus disc is good and the packaging is great. this was $45 upon release and an absolute steal then, though i can't say it's worth the current prices.
- This is a fantastic release from KRS. Have owned it since it came out and have given it a lot of playtime. So good it makes you wish they would give this treatment to his other albums (still waiting on an official release of FABOTH outtakes). Really worth the price. Beautiful photos from JJ Gonson and like others have said, feels like Elliott's in the room with you.
- Outstanding sound quality, especially the bonus live album. Picks up all the delicate nuances that make Elliott Smith great.. The purity of the acoustic guitars and the fragility captured in his voice are immaculate. Well and truly worth the price of admission, and an absolute must for all fans.
- This sounds absolutely spectacular. Moments like the low-end of Clementine sound like Elliott is playing in your living room.
- This is a lovely presentation of a really special album. The photo book and the short essays are very special. The albums are pressed flat on medium weight vinyl (?140). Sound is significantly better than previous vinyl pressing.
- On LP1, the first two tracks are very noisy on both sides even after cleaning. Otherwise, this is a beautiful and great-sounding release.
- These records look great and, most importantly, sound amazing. The book is beautifully done - absolutely worth the cost of the packaging.
