Reviews
- My copy was $30 secondhand. I didn't clean it before playing. So quiet I thought there'd been a power failure and the record had stopped playing. It was like Bill was in the room with me, which is what you need with his music. I'm very happy with it. I'm always fascinated to hear what he comes up with in terms of lyrics - I wonder how much of it is improvised and how much is planned.
- Pressing is very strong coming off my stereo. Crisp, resonant, solid all-around. Another amazing record by everyone's favorite pensive chronicler of understated human connections!
- Nice pressing to my ears. Very little background noise for a relatively sparse record, and no distortion as mentioned elsewhere.
- It's definitely a weird pressing. I have the same problems listed below----lots of distortion on the vocals, and looked to be in rough shape right out of the wrap. Maybe the delay in pre-orders had something to do with quality issues?
- As a previous reviewer noted, there is weird distortion on the vocals on some of the tracks and it sounds like a mastering or pressing issue. Absolutely distracting and disappointing.
