A magnificent pressing, of what has to be Curren$y's finest hour. Even my friend Duncan Tompkins had to concur and he doesn't even normally like Curren$y, as he says the subject matter of the rhymes are a bit too violent for his tastes. That is why I call him a cowardly custard!!

I'm so happy about the fact that this guy seems to have a similar taste in music & I just keep running into his comments.

One of my favorite hobbies on discogs is scrolling down to the comments section to see if midnightrunner has left a review. Never fails to disappoint.

Incredible pressing. I’ve been waiting for this on vinyl for years. Classic album by Curren$y. Wish they would release a boxset of the Pilot Talk Trilogy. Jet Life!

a boxset would be most welcome, but i wonder if they have plans to release each volume over the next couple of RSD events.
i think that this is the strongest volume, but the others are still audio dope and i would love to have Pot Jar on wax

Listening to mine now...damn it sounds so good and I forgot how much I loved some of the tracks. Nostalgic and excellent.

why are actual record shops permitted to put RSD releases up on discogs for double or treble the reommended retail price?
it's one thing that there are unscrupulous scalpers engaging in this practice, but any retailers found doing it should have their ability to buy RSD releases removed, it's to promote record stores ffs, not for you to fleece customers!!!

And this is why Plaid Room will always get my money! I missed out on this because my local shop sold out quick, but I was able to get one from your recent restock at normal pricing. Thanks for being awesome!

No they won't. Allied and the others will continue to distribute to not only them, but all the non brick and mortar, online scalpers disguised as record "stores", and music "brokers" that do nothing but sell the titles at inflated prices online or in other countries. None of this is congruent with RSD inc.'s supposed directive, yet it has been going on for years and has recently gotten exponentially worse.

Call those store names out to Record Store Day. If they are on the pledge list, RSD will absolutely do something about it.

There is clearly a rat in the supply chain. How is it that online scalpers can get a hold of multiple copies when actual records stores only got 1 or 2, and most got none? Either the labels, distributor, or RSD inc is now leaking this stuff to the scalpers.

I'm sorry, but that's just not true. I know an owner of a small record store that has been in businesses for almost 30 years and not only do they never, I repeat never, receive everything they order, they have even been sent titles they didn't order on several occasions.

If stores didn't get copies, it's because they didn't order it. If they only got 1 or 2 copies, it's because they only ordered a couple copies. As far as I know, this release was not sold out even two weeks ago, which means that the distributors hadn't even received 2,000 orders for it.
This gap in the market demand versus the supply falls on stores. We/they do our absolute best to stock the items that folks are looking for. But, at the end of the day, we need to know if there's a large demand for something so that we can order it. I always recommend trying to have a conversation with the person at your local who does the ordering to make sure that they're going to have what you're looking for, or to make sure they at least ordered it.
Also, as far as RSD leaking stuff to the scalpers....you are misunderstanding the supply chain completely. RSD is the entity that organizes this event, they do not touch product. The product flows from manufacturer to distributor to stores.

Anecdotal, but my local record store got several copies in stock. Not sure how many they had in total but I was 45th in line and by the time they got to me, they still had three copies left.

well one person could go to multiple RSD-participating record stores, or have friends/family do it for them

I snagged mine for $48 + shipping. More than double the price, but it was worth it. Once these vinyls sell out in the US, prices are going to skyrocket like Tyler, The Creators 'Cherry Bomb' LP (Record Store Day Edition)

Very basic packaging and presentation but the pressing is surprisingly rich. This retailed for about $20-25 here in the US, for anyone curious.

Agreed, Outside of the pressing, you'd think by looking at the art that it was a bootleg. Kind of surprised how low-res the front and back are.
