Reviews
- Album released on experimental label owned by Pieter Jansen (yeyeh), where artists from seemingly different worlds join forces. This EP has Greetje Bijma - dutch free jazz vocalist with multiple accolades - cooperating with Oceanic, who (previous release include his works on Nous'klaer Audio) specializes himself in absorbing and hypnotizing 4x4 music that fits somewhere between techno, house and downtempo. The music on this album connects incredibly complex free jazz vocal works by Gritje with trance inducing electronic patterns of Oceanic in an astonishingly smooth manner, as if they worked together for years. Proof that music defies borders and limits. The album has a partly ambient, partly club vibe, however always staying experimental, fresh and nursing the listener with a warm, spring feeling. A grown up work album that you'll listen to for years to come.
