Reviews
- It plays good, the mastering is alright but it's a bit quiet, had to turn up my listening system way over what I usually use for casual listening.
- Edited 3 years agoBought "new/mint"sounds good , except for LP 1 side A, there's skipping at the beginning of each track.
Feb.2 - Recieved a replacement copy from the seller, and sounds excellent, clean and loud. - Sound is fair when its not skipping... But jesus, this press is really bad..Almost unberable... Roger Waters and "The Wall" deserve so much better... 😓
- i don't know what all the fuss is about with the pressing, the noise etc., my copy sounds loud, and fantastic, maybe all the criers should invest in a real vinyl sound system and stop complaining !!!!
- I must have been a lucky one since I don't have any issues (warps, scratches, scuff marks, popping). It sounds pretty great and it is a great album for what it is. For the download card I did not get. For the volume I had to turn it up a bit but that is also because I wanted it loud to get a good experience of it being live.
- Like gongcollector, my disc 2 has a slight wave as well. it doesn't affect playback at all though. No issues with "Vera". On the 1st disc however I have a black smudge-mark that covers "In The Thin Ice"; on side 1, and "Young Lust" on the flip side and again, doesn't affect playback. Any one else come across that issue? No D/L card and no RSD hype sticker. Got mine in here in Canada.
- Had 2 copies, first copy disc 2 has a wave and scuff marks and audible popping on side 3 Vera, was new and sealed. Store replaced it, replacement disc 2 has a very visible wave.
- My copy sounds great. We've all heard The Wall multiple times in it's original form so it's refreshing to hear a different style presented with a stellar cast of guests and Roger was still a relatively young man at the time. Would have been awesome to have been there, huh? Love the glass clear vinyl too. This one's been pressed 8,000 times so you should have no problem finding a copy at a record shop for a while. It rocks!
