A Word Becomes a Sound is a beautiful and ethereal indie folk album by Kate Bollinger. Her vocals are smooth and silky, and her lyrics are poetic and evocative. The album is awash in lush soundscapes, and Bollinger's voice is the perfect vehicle for these songs.

The album opens with the title track, a slow-burning ballad about the power of words. Bollinger sings, "A word becomes a sound, a sound becomes a song, a song becomes a memory, a memory becomes a dream." These lyrics are a reminder that our words have power, and that we should use them carefully.
