A sonic pleasure. High production value contemporary jazz. This is not your typical overdone synthesizer based 80s jazz.

Nice Oregon album and as one would expect, it still sounds very fresh in 2021. Although this release appeared not long after their percussionist/sitarist Colin Walcott accidentally passed away the band managed to keep the spirit moving forward.
I will say this IF you are a dyed in the wool Oregon fan you can tell just by listening to the compositions that Walcott is sorely missed as I believe he had a major impact on the bands sound especially the rhythm section, however Trilok is tasteful in his tabla and percussion manna albeit not as dynamic as Walcott might have been. The music here is much more restrained tho the I would have omitted the vocal track as it does nothing for the band nor do I care for her scatting..All around its a pleasant listen and having just acquired this now out of print release will continue to enjoy the endearing and engaging Oregon because well no one sounds like them!
