Given the side lengths it sounds ok. Some loudness has clearly been applied. The potential for IGD doesnt become an issue, at least with a microline tip. The vinyl is quieter than expectdd but my copy has a sever dish with 0.5 cm gap from edge to platter when playing side 1. Side 2 obviously fares better.
The 2LP reissue is still by far the best ive heard this but this is ok for 20 odd quid

Picked this clear copy up to safe my OG 1989 Silvertone vinyl from excessive wear (I hardly played this classic full of memories of my youth anymore, fearing I would downgrade my well kept nm record by too many plays during manic-sleepless Sunday mornings when the cid slowly wears off) and I have to agree with the better reviews here - my copy is dynamic and at least as clean sounding as a nm original pressing. No copy I ever heard has a pop-free Elizabeth My Dear, so if thats your favourite song, get one of the earlier CD issues. Apart from this the only issue I see - when directly compared to said original pressing - is a lack of warmth. But no one ever said this was an AAA-reissue so I didn't expect audiophile revelations, but got what I wanted - a fine and cheap alternative to play without worry and keep the 89 Silvertone pressing for special occasions :)

Maybe I just got lucky, my my copy sounds clean and dynamic with a very solid bottom end. Very happy that I picked this one up.

Some tracks sound better dynamically than others, unsure if this is from the pressing or mastering. Definitely heard things in there that I’ve not heard before compared to CD/MP3. Needs the bass turning up on my old 70’s Sony amp. Flat vinyl, very little noise. Overall ok

One of those things where it’s a nice item, but sound quality could have been much better, I thought it sounded dull and lifeless to my other editions. However nice packaging and sleeve :-)

Quiet, almost flat and compared to an older pressing I sold definitely louder and fuller sounding. My only criticism would be the high end - the hi hat is getting close to distortion at times. But at the cheap price it's pretty much of a no-brainer.

I have a Spanish reissue in a deplorable state that sounds a thousand times better than this one. It has no life, it looks like a copy of a copy of a copy ...

So much better as a pressing than the double 33rpm from Rainbo in the USA. This is quiet, close to perfectly flat and correctly centred. The mastering is essentially the same. One has to turn the wick up with some much music per side but i have an Icon all valve phonostage so gain is never an issue 😊

This is obvs an amazing album but I’m a little underwhelmed compared to the original. The life seems to have been sucked out of it and if you consider the mix anyway it’s a disappointment

Mine sounds fantastic! Clean clear vinyl with no pops, clicks & noise just like the others here had experience. One of my finest purchases.
