Black Sabbath’s debut is one of the pioneering moments in the emergence of heavy metal, and this pressing certainly does it justice! The art on the gatefold is well reproduced, and the disc is thick, and pressed flat. The sound quality is phenomenal! Deep, punchy bass, and an expansive soundstage. There’s a gorgeous richness and crispness to the sound on this pressing that is incredibly enthralling. Crank this one and it will blow your socks off! Best results occur after multiple wet cleans, especially focusing on side B, which seemed to be a bit dirtier/noisier initially than side A.

Does anyone know if this is different master from the 2015 release, linked here: https://www.discogs.com/Black-Sabbath-Black-Sabbath/release/10374059

Does this version comes with the classic black background and inverted cross inside the gatefold? Or does it add anything new?
