Reviews
- "without prejudice "
was a CON job!!! I over paid you 300 dollars for a booklet and a nice box to store the albums. The sound is muddied on some tracks and listening to the albums I get fatigued... as I would with digital cds. You advertised the albums were AAA cut from the analog tapes. To me I have heard third generation bootleg tapes that sound better. The Reckoning side 2 track 4 Monkey and the Engineer plays for 2 seconds is paused and then restarts from the beginning of the track !!! WTF!!! THIS BOX SET WAS AN EXPENSIVE PURCHASE! Terrapin Station side 1 track 2 Dancin in the Streets has horns?!!!? That was on a CD release not on the ORIGINAL ANALOG ALBUM!!!
I have a VPI Prime turntable with a Vas Nova mc cartridge it runs to a Mark Levisnson integrated amp and from that are Wharfedale Linton speakers. I set my cartridge with a Fozgometer V2. for the azimuth. I have albums that are 60 years old and they are by far superior to this box set. I have all the original Grateful Dead albums. Some are 50 years plus old. Of course I compared the albums in sound. I expected the same album newer and cleaner sounding not a CD pressed on vinyl.
VMP IS A HACK SITE!!! I HOPE YOU MADE ENOUGH MONEY TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!! - Edited 4 months agoSo it's January 2025. I paid for the 2nd ed in May 2023. I guess I'm not the only one that's waited 20 months! Rumours of VMP circling the drain, too. Worrying
- Should I laugh or cry perhaps. For several weeks the shipping deadline was for mid November. Now they changed it to mid January. So that's it for christmas.
Are there any people beside myself who still have this on order? - Edited 10 months agoOver the last few months they changed the shipping date for the second edition from mid July to mid August and now it's mid October. With luck we'll have it 'till Christmas time. I just hope the quality will be similar to the first edition.
- I wish VMP would just release Terrapin Station by itself! It's the only one I am missing from the set.
