Amen. Vocal sample. 808 bassline. Monster.

Photek pushing that yardstick a little further out (Pete Parsons runs it close though).

Even a digital release of these EPs would do.

Prices for this record have become a joke. £170 upwards now :(

Could have got this for around £50 five/six years ago. Even with a slight increase in demand, market manipulation and greed is clearly rife. So many sharks we need Chief Brody and Hooper for this one!

The greatest Jungle release of all time??
I can't think of another with 4 tracks on as sublime as this. Please drop a reply if you know coz I'm yet to hear it

All tracks are absolutely brilliant, love the Mindgames (Dub mix), just so atmospheric & indicative of the period. Just please don't pay these silly inflated prices from the sharks charging £165, money makers with no compassion for us who want to enjoy!

All tracks are amazing, but the standout for me is "Mindgames". There's something about the original version that keeps me coming back for more; it's a truly addictive track. The lush pads and stabs, bouncy breakbeats, futuristic production and rolling bassline all add up to make a timeless Jungle song!

All about the Dub Mix of Mindgames for me! What a tune from photek, smashing amens and euphoric breakdown, even some bleeps thrown in for good measure... 10 out of 10, buy on sight!

This is perhaps the most dancefloor orientated of all Photek's releases when he was at the peak of his powers. 'Say it' will be instantly recognisable to many Old Skool heads as it was caned by the likes of Grooverider and Bukem for years afterwards, and in a variety of mixes. Frustratingly, the best of these remain unreleased.

There are at least three other mixes of 'Say it', one of which (the best in my opinion) combines 'Version' with elements of 'Mind Games (Dub Mix)'. This is available on the Peshay mix from Dreamscape 24 (1997). Although I have never actually seen the promo only Prototype release, I am fairly certain that tune is an altogether different version; much more eerie with a weird pipe sample. Clips of all three can be found on the internet if you look hard enough.

If you can get past the heartbreak of the absence of these tunes, (I doubt I'm the only person who feels this way!) this is a must buy release. You get 4 tunes for your hard earned; two mellow rollers and two absolutely tearing Amen smashers. Come on Rupert: free the music!!!
