Reviews
- 4 Hero Mix on 45rpm at +8 feels like it's pressed too slow. Maybe it should be played at 78rpm? Peshay Mix on 45rpm at -8 feels like it's pressed too fast. Never got my head around that, lol. My favourite mix is the Street Mix anyway, with it's undulating bassline and heavy beat.
- There is a legend that drum'n bass - named by LTJ Bukem - was created when Uk DJs, Mixmaster Morris, Gilles Peterson, and so on, played this Innerzone Orchestra track on 45. Peshay mix and 4 Hero mix make us feel a new era of drum'n base is dawning, and the tech-jazz flavors of Carl Craig's own street mix and As One's future/past mix are really the strong points of the EP.
- Excellent release, very original, almost genreless still cutting edge five years on. The Peshay & Street mixes are worth the most attention, aids to modern living.
