I absolutely love this album, my favorite Presley release by far. The variety of musical styles, tempos, and genres truly showcase Elvis' range as a performer. His voice is in fine form, and you can really hear his putting his all into every recording. The only song I would consider kind of a weak spot would be 'Soldier Boy'; I think it's kind of a bland composition, brought to life only by Elvis' presence, but it mostly just feels 'thrown in' on account of Elvis' returning from military service, kind of cliched piece, really. My favorite tracks from this album, and ultimately some of my favorite Elvis recordings, would have to be 'Thrill Of Your Love', 'Such A Night', and 'Dirty, Diry Feeling'

It's a shame really that so many people fail to appreciate his LP's and not just his film scores and famous singles, there is so much amazing material here and on all his other non-soundtrack studio albums that they could easily have housed many potential chart-toppers. I heard that this particular album is considered to be among his finest by fans and critic alike, and I'm sure one listen could make an Elvis fan of anyone.
