Reviews
- Edited 5 months agoGreat Album...Have to agree with others this is a flat slab, noise free, and yes the bass is forward but doesn't run over anything else. The vocals have great separation Bob's voice doesn't over take the backing vocals and vice versa. IMO it sounds very good.on my modest system. (Fluance RT-82 w/Acrylic Platter, ATN-XP cart/5 stylus. Nobsound T3 Phono Amp, Aiyima A07 Pro, Kicker KB6B, & Polk PSW10 Sub...Simple Low Cost Setup)...Happy addition
- Edited one year agoCompared to my late 80s highs-forward copy of Kaya, the thick base thumping here takes some adjusting to. Once that's over though, the superior nature of this half-speed becomes totally clear and undeniable. Superb!
- I enjoy this record most of all of Bob Marley’s releases. This 1/2 speed mastering sounds great, but I recommend a Japanese ILS pressing as well. The latter still sounds best to my ears.
- 5 out of 5 for sound. This is great. Very happy. I will buy more of Bob M ‘s records from this collection.
- Top notch pressing, superb mastering, one of my favourite Bob reissues in this half mastered series. Well done Miles!
- This is sick, a bass bear but lovely throughout all the wavelengths and, if you’ve got the gear, a full blown thumpy diamond.
- I agree- so far I’m really happy with these half-speed Masters. You can hear the instrumentation very well. Spacious- yes a good description.
