Found this in a clearance bin didn’t know that most of these sound bad. Mine sounds good besides a couple pops. Guess I got double lucky. Fantastic music as one expects with anything Madlib touches.

Can anyone who has the new April 2021 repress create a separate entry please.
Most importantly can anyone confirm the sound quality on the repress please. This RSD version got a lot of criticism here below.

I hadn't checked my copy until today and.... shit, it's full of punches.
And it wasn't especially a cheap record, on the contrary. What a disappointment...

Unfortunately my copy looks and sounds the same as everybody else describes. Bubbles and scratches. Deadwax and label is awful due to a dirty stamper. The centerhole looks "forced" and bends upwards on one side.

Stunningly beautiful record. Each song is special. The poetry track is especially nice. A masterpiece? Maybe.
Deux Fakes Jayers sounds great on vinyl even compared to the digital release. Keep in mind the record is 24 minutes per side and still has good lows and open high end.

Like many of you I must say the vinyl sounds a bit muffled (but not too much), if i were to compare with the digital files. It still sounds pretty good though. But indeed, I may need to tweak my tone controls on the marantz for this to "pop" a little more. Anyhow, very very cool album to have on vinyl.
I'm no audiophile and my setup isn't exactly high fidelity, but I have to agree with some of the negative feedback. Incredible music, pretty flat sound. I'll prob listen on streaming services going forward.
Listening again today. I have to say possibly the biggest disappointment I’ve ever felt in regards the mastering and pressing of a record. I love the music but this pressing sounds so fucking flat and dull and lifeless. I mean who the fuck signed this off? Surely they must have heard a test press and queried it? Sounds like through the whole thing I’ve got a big ball of fluff on my stylus on a record player that is playing next door, and unfortunately there is no Aerosmith or Run DMC to knock down the wall and blow the fluff off
