Reviews
- This is avery good sounding record with all instrumentation sounding full and present EXCEPT the drums. The drums sound too compressed and don't punch through the mix. The cymbals seem to hiss and wash away without resonating. The bass drum doesn't thump and the snare appears buried to my ears. Aside from that, it's a very good listen and worth picking up on sale. I don't have any other pressings to compare it too other than other records in my collection... and I have a few audiophile recordings and high-quality sounding albums... if more attention was paid to the drums I'd have a more favorable opinion of this pressing. 3.5/5 stars.
- Completely agree with the rest of the reviews; very nice pressing! Pretty loud and clear cut. I had a bit of surface noise when taking it out of the shrink, plus some dust/debris on the records themselves, presumably due to the paper innersleeves. Beautiful package and presentation, though poly innersleeves would have been a nice inclusion. It appears that this is pressed at GZ (Made in Czech Republic sticker on the back), but you really wouldn't be able to tell based off how good the record sounds. A no-brainer at the right price.
- Hell yes. This sounds fantastic. Noticed a tiny bit of surface noise on my copy on quieter parts, but when this record gets humming, it’s one of the better sounding records I have. Killer low end and amazing sounding vocals.
- Perhaps I had too much high expectations after having read the positive reviews. It’s a good pressing but I was expecting more. It might be just an issue with my copy though. In particular I need to turn up the volume more than usual to reach my usual volume level, more than BH&R
- EXCELLENT sound ! So good I had goosebumps.
After trying 2015 presiing and new XX RemiXX , I can surely say that this is to go vinyl.
Surprised not seing many rapturous comments here..
