Reviews
- Edited 3 months agoGreat double LP anthology, selected and sequenced in a way that makes me wonder if it was compiled by Jack White. Zero issues with this 'Target exclusive' release, the slipmat is a cool touch, and the vinyl is heavy, flat and quiet. My copy was purchased new and plays flawlessly.
- Edited one year agoA dope compilation but the sound quality of their recordings varies drastically by each album so it's a weird listen. But overall unfortunately Sound quality overall is very bad, very flat and dull. Housed in paper sleeves too...
- Edited 3 months agoThis is a terrible press. Tons and TONS of surface noise. I've only heard digital versions of these songs and they aren't that great. I'd avoid this record. There is a reason it was in the clearance bin.
- Edited 3 months agoPhenomenal pressing! Great selection of songs and the mastering is awesome! Some of these singles sound better than the LP version in my opinion. Highly recommended!
- Edited 3 months agoAgree with others. Cut very quiet with very little inflection. Great quality vinyl but is not mixed well. Have not read liners to see if this was intentional
- Edited 3 months agoTarget is running these on sale for $15 right now. The slipmat alone is worth that. A great find.
- Edited 3 months agoThe record sounds great and the slip mat is REALLY cool (it totally pops on my turntable!) but it's pressed oddly quiet...really had to turn my system up more than usual. Still worth having!
- Edited 3 months agoSounds great , clean, flat and silent its a nice press, probably a hi res transfer since its from multiple sources but it sounds good, its a cool best of package, someone else mentioned that they were a casual Stripes fan ( thats me also) so i find this a great collection to spin from time to time and I got a cool slipmat i dont need ,lol- its a def buy at $28
Last thing , to clear up all the “bad audio” comments, well some of these recordings are lo fi and thats how they were purposely originally recorded and they sound fine.
