Another killer Killing Joke press from Spinefarm Records. The color is lovely and it sounds great cranked nice and loud. Would love to see the rest of their discography get the same treatment, especially What’s This For, Night Time and Fire Dances!
I did a direct comparison with the 2008 pressing Pandemonium (that also has two fantastic extra tracks) and I must say that the 2008 edition sounds far better than this one. I do not have any original pressing, no.
Does any one have the 1st Press?I would like to know if it worth the buy for the 1st press?I ahve the blue/clear Reissue but i think the 1st press would be a little bit better.
Happy and glad to have this pressing and mix. My CD from 1994, along with CD singles from Pandemonium, is all I have to compare this pressing with. The vinyl sound/mix is excellent! Just wish the vinyl repressing was a gatefold. In the end, well worth the wait from overseas mail to have this copy in hand!
Outstanding pressing and mix. Completely can hear the separation of all instruments, synths, vocals, sound effects. All even. Drums crisp. I've the original Zoo pressing and I haven't listened to it on my newer, higher-end turntable I have in the last year, but I will. That said, refreshing to hear this difference, was really pleased. I'm really pleasantly surprised. Frankly because I've not been happy in past KJ Spinefarm vinyl original year of released vinyl; the CDs, imo, were just better, minus going into band production. Meh, Georgie might be a little lighter or brighter vs deeper depth...but, f. It! This sounds great. Can always fall back on Geordie's guitar density on other pressings or releases, if that's really the case? Idk? I'm human. Been listening to Pandemonium for 26 years.
