Reviews
- David's first offering on Bunker Records, showing his naughtiest and darkest side (the sound of Im Kellar is a lot clearer).
Five interesting raw tracks here.
The EP starts brutally with explicit lyrics over crazy beats (reminding me somehow of Gesloten Cirkel). There's a lot of "live"and unpredictable in it, as in the forthcoming tracks.
Then comes my favorite, the most experimental: "Zeist 95" relentless like a broken washing machine.
"Pervitine 39" is the most playable of the bunch with its acid line and a martial drumy break in the middle.
The fourth track features spoken words again (I don't know what they are about, perhaps train announcements?). This one is also inspired by Gesloten Cirkel according to me (listen again to "Perron").
Finally, my second favorite is "MSD", also very danceable with acid parts and a bit of Chicago spirit.
All good!
