Reviews
- It’s a confirmed bootleg. Bizarre it’s still able to be sold on here. Great collection tho. Mine *does play and rip The End & Tourniquet without issue btw.
- I reached out to Loma and they basically wouldn't confirm or deny anything. This morning I did receive confirmation from Caroline Industries stating that it is a bootleg. Also, there is the barcode analysis that is comedically great too.
The audio quality is great though! However, the last tracks on both discs give me issues when trying to rip them and so far the only thing that I have been able to play the entire last tracks off both discs has been a PS2, of all things! - Edited 8 months agoClearly a bootleg. The barcode indicates a Russian release by Island/Def Jam records, not Loma Vista/Caroline. Yes, those barcode numbers aren't just randomly generated; somebody copied the code from a Russian CD from Island Records and simply changed a couple of the final digits to make this. No new material, photos, logos, or even fonts - this is all recycled content. No songwriting/ publishing/ copyright credits - there should be a massive wall of text for the cover songs' publishing credits alone. You'd think even a small record label would remember to mention that Paul McCartney wrote Helter Skelter. Suspiciously, no mastering engineer is credited. And the old-school Redbook "Compact Disc" logo is printed on the CDs, which hasn't been widely used in nearly two decades. Plus the misprints, as others have mentioned.
- Can someone from Lima Vista please confirm if this release is official or bootleg just for the record?
- This is an OFFICIAL release. If it were a bootleg, there wouldn’t have been so much effort put into the packaging and contents.
