If anyone should doubt the pure musical genius of Leroy Burgess, they should put the needle down on Mainline, one of the best dance music tracks ever made. You have soulful, meaningful lyrics and vocals, great instrumentation, and top-notch writing and song-structure by the man himself. The break is a gorgeous and unforgettable moment in dance music history, absolutely killer Philly groove with male and female chorus: "Nothing is the same...ever since you 'came my baby".

This record is in my top ten all time favorite dance tunes. Every time I hear it, I'am amazed how a song of this calibre can bring back memories of dance floor bliss, and falling in love at the same time. A genuine masterpiece that I will never get tired of hearing over and over.
