This review is not about the music, it's about the pressing. The music is top notch and I was glad to be able to put my hands on this classic release, just to be disappointed that it was not pressed from the original source (tapes or whatever format). How did I realize this? Well the artifacts that can be constantly heard through all the tracks, especially in the right channel, made me download a rip of the 1993 release and the original one is clean as a whistle!
Second thing that gave this away is the vocal passage at the end of the "I Wouldn't (Revamped Vox)" which out of nowhere has a beat drop by which is not in the original track (like some kind of fast fade in/out of part of the track, randomly inserted here). Also the voice and the organ are distorted, like you would play a vinyl full of dust and the dust ball impedes the needle to properly read the groove.
So this must be either a rip of the original vinyl or I don't know what it is, but I'm surprised people didn't caught it up in 11 years.

Such a shame as the music on it is so fine, but didn't expect this from this label: to do such a shameful re-pressing :|

Both sides are sick! I was listening to a Derrick Carter set that I downloaded years ago and I heard this on it and I was blown away. I remember hearing this track rinsed on the radio by the likes of Sir Panic on "The Panic System" show out of Fordham University NYC. It was one of those WOW tunes that I just never knew the name of. I just spent the past two hours trying to suss out what it was on Discogs. I knew it sounded like Ron Trent but I couldn't find it. I finally almost gave up when I just decided to try to look for the tracklisting of said MP3 set and BAM, found it! Both sides were so big, its right up there with Earth People "Dance" and Todd Terry's "Massoka". Real deep vocal-less tracks with sexy riffs and vocal snipplets chopped up like MK does. Really tight. I want a copy myself now.

Be My Friend exists at a level of vocal deepness that few tracks are able to attain.
This track could be compared to Gabriel, but it is even deeper than Gabriel, It's more
        raw. Just so emotional.
