Ryuichi sakamoto, a highly prolific Japanese composer, producer and at times actor, who's probably most known for receiving the Academy Award for his score to Bertolucci's "The Last Emperor", entices us with a thoroughly engaging production, one that for the most part establishes various classical instruments like the piano, violin or a guitar as the center pieces of the compositions, while adding some delicate ambient soundscapes or an occasional snippet of field recording in a couple of tracks. I'd describe the prevailing mood of the album as quite relaxing with an occasional nod to the melancholic side, definitely a sound you can get easily lost in.
