Reviews
- ps another unique thing here is the labels on both records are GOLD and have the KARUSSELL GOLD SERIES printed across the labels and NOT the usual RED polydor logo............
- i just got this compilation today, im 99% sure i got a german copy from this series many years ago but i probably forgot so for only 12 bucks to find one today easy in a used bin it was a no brainer, obviously this is a very common who compilation from germany that must have been pressed in very large masses for domestic distribution in germany/europe at the time of this release in february 1975 but im thinking it was also meant for export as well to the uk/usa/canada & beyond as there is still no shortage of copies of this comp, the sleeve i found this in today i would rate at vg++ as this german copy is indeed hard to find w/ a mint or nm sleeve, this was part of the KARUSSELL GOLD SERIES on polydor CMBH. the most common copy of this compilation to be found here in the us going way back to when i bought MY FIRST EVER COPY of this 2 lp set in 1979 is the FRENCH pressing as it seems like that pressing wich has a bit of a different sleeve but not much as well as ( the track listing on the inside of the gatefold sleeve among all the same vintage who photos) as this german copy has are printed in two boxes on the inside of the ( french sleeve) this german series edition DOES NOT FEATURE THAT so that is it, in over 40 years of collecting WHO i rarely see this german copy here in the us, its always the FRENCH EDITION so in france obviously they printed so so many of these for there local market as well as for export worldwide so all this jibberish means is unless you live in antarctia or on another planet THIS IS AN EASY COMPILATION TO LOCATE AFTER ( PROBABLY) A COUPLE OF PRESSINGS 46/47 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!! decent 60s hits 2 lp set...... ps always loved this nice live shot on the front sleeve.
