- In 1974 my dad went on a business trip to visit the BBC. He bought me a battery driven, portable record player and some records. Best of the beeb, totp 1974. Among the pop and glam songs, were medicine head and their single slip and slide. Forty years later or more (my God i’m getting Old !) i got the album, and What an album! I believe I read somewhere that John Peel was a huge fan. Can’t blame him, this is a must buy!!
