Reviews
- Sixteen horsepower unexpectedly in 1996 broke through with their album Sackcloth 'n' Ashes. The band makes use of unusual instruments like banjo, cello, xylophoon and bandoneon. Their music seems affected by old folk styles, Cajun and white gospel. The vocals of David Eugene Edwards sounds sad sounding, something the songs sometimes a somewhat ominous and menacing character. One of the highlights of this fascinating not belong For heaven's Sake, the acoustic album everyday The Denver Grab and Phyllis Ruth.
