Reviews
- Do the the two variations of red sound different? I have the brigther red and I was surprised it sounds good, after reading all these commentaries.
- Terrible mastering. A shame. Seems to be a common problem with all vinyl releases. If someone is sure that this is not the case, write which release escaped this. Hope only for future remastering
- Really nice pressing, little surface noise and amazing album, however mine is a lot closer to a Target red colour than the “deep red” described on the sticker.
- Awesome album. Very bad pressing, mine has a skip on Too Good at the very spot every time, completely unavoidable, anyone else?
- Just bought this and it’s an awesome pressing - for people reporting surface noise it’s intentionally there on a number of tracks including Eugene and Bluish (just compare it to the digital version).
- Excellent sounding copy, great packaging and overall quality. No complaints. 👌 Glad to finally own this record, one of the best albums 2021.
- the sound of the intro poem is pretty distorted (it is in digital as well), but otherwise my copy sounds very nice - at least for a contemporary pop record. I am careful with GZ pressings, but in this case I am very satisfied.
- This might be my favourite new album of 2021, and not surprised it recently won the Mercury Prize. Count me among those with a bad pressing of this. Also my copy is not on deep or semi-opaque red (as shown in this listing) it’s a pretty standard bright candy red. Maybe that’s one of the reasons there’s such split opinion on this pressing? Black Dog has surface noise throughout (as does most of side A lots of pops), it’s almost unlistenable.
