- One of my most spun records. If you love this why haven’t you added it to your collection? Maybe not considered their best but I will be spinning this soon!
- Kinda crazy how good all of these Walmart copies of Metallica’s discography sounds. Damn good pressing. Their colored copies of Ride the Lightning AND Master of Puppets sound just as good.
- Probably my least favorite Metallica record before load because nothing after that was good the record sounds AMAZING though
- The original mix may be a bit lo-fi and muddy (but I've heard much worse), but this pressing is excellent: flat, silent, and with a mean thumping bass. Recommended.
- I always heard rumors that these pressings sucked but after just taking the $23 “risk” since I can’t find the original, I gotta say, I’m glad I did, and I’m going to take people’s opinions on these matters with a slightly larger grain of salt.
This is a great pressing, and if the others are this high quality, I’m hunting them aggressively. (Meaning the other “thrash” Metallica Walmart exclusives) - These Walmart exclusives are spec-friggin-tacular. Great mastering, flat disc, great color variants, and neatly packaged in a poly lined inner sleeve and comes with a download card all for $22. That’s unheard of these days. This is easily a $40+ album at FYE. Found it at Walmart today (4/21/23) so they must still be pressing them. If you’ve been thinking about replacing some Metallica in your collection, I can’t recommend the Walmart exclusives enough. I’ve scored, Master of Puppets, Ride The Lightning, Justice For All, and now this one and they all sound awesome.
- Edited one year agoI’m in the UK and finally completed the set I wanted by scoring a sealed copy of this on eBay. Sounds as amazing as my Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets copies. Only downside the vinyl on my Kill ‘em All is a fair bit warped. Not enough to affect the sound but it’s probably the most noticable warp I’ve had so far in a brand new record.
- I was always happy with the old CD. This is much better to my ears. Excellent pressing and mastering.
