- Edited one year agoSometime in the early 2000s I found myself in the Salsoul offices talking to Tom Moulton and regarding 'Spring Rain' he quipped that when mixing the song he had "committed the ultimate sin by adding a kick drum".
In Tom's mix when the piano breakdown comes the second time it is augmented by a kick drum and some percussion. Not sure if this was mentioned elsewhere so leaving this nugget here.
