It's almost too easy to get lost in this record. I keep coming back to it not because of any particular phrase or motif but because it's greater than the sum of its parts. Somehow, some way, AP keeps upping their game with every successive release. And this one is hands down best yet.
The EP itself is almost the perfect standalone Acting Press compilation. Vague hints at other AP records and signature AP sounds are present here, in a nearly self-contained mini-mix which is somewhat reminiscent of the last Basic Channel releases. Comparison being apt or not, I for one hope that this doesn't signal the end of Acting Press. But even if it does, I couldn't have asked for a more appropriate swan song.

A definite KLF vibe on this one…magical. Chill out forever!

There's some ambience from a classic jungle track toward the very end of side B that I feel I should be able to immediately identify*. This is a beautiful record, reminds me somewhat of Aquarian Foundations' "Mind Miniatures" (also featuring PLO Man), not so much sonically, but in terms of the records' M.O. -- but this is more delicate and ethereal. No mistaking that Acting Press integrity.

Masterpiece, might be the best Acting Press release so far. We are witnessing great return of chill-out music.
