APL were friends of mine in the early 1990s as I lived in Bradford and they played live at our club night House of Maya in Bradford 1993.
I can still remember Stef showing me how the sound at the beginning of The Calling was made with a long plastic toy tube. Enigma ended up giving APL £5000 for use of that sound for their album!

Does anyone out there in radioland know if The Calling "(Loved'Ub Mix)" the same as the ambient mix on the One A.D. lp?
