Reviews
- Mine is a dreadful pressing. Side two has a "whumping" sound behind the music for most of the side. It sounds muffled like there was a drum circle in a room next to the studio the tracks were recorded in...which is jacked up because this is a compilation album and none of these tracks were recorded at the same time or in the same studio...and don't get me started on the bootleg/counterfeit appearance of the jacket artwork. This release made me never want to roll the dice on a Real Gone product ever again.
- Man, they really phoned it in on the cover art for this release. Too bad because it sounds alright but the fuzzy, lo-res jacket looks like they just scanned the CD with a potato and resized the resulting image in MS Paint on a Packard Bell running Windows 95.
- So other people who are reviewing this record (other variants like the blue one) I think are missing the point. This album has recordings from multiple genres over many, many years. It's not like you can make these songs independently sound fantastic. It would cost a ton of money. For what it's worth this record sounds fine. It's clear, clean and loud enough. The biggest disappointment about this record, in my opinion, is the very low resolution cover art. Looks exactly like the CD case blown up. The back is ok but the front is so blurry it's almost illegible with the credits.
