There is a glaring 'Double Trouble' bassline on 'Right Guard' it's the only decent element of the track IMHO. The vocal is pure cheese lets face it.

''Tears'' is a hard trance / proto-gabber track German/Dutch style, and i remember it since it came out that grabbed me instanlty, when it was air-played in May-June '93, together with some other industrial techno-gabber tunes from Rotterdam records, K.N.O.R, Force Inc, Influence Recordings, etc.
It is still one of my life best tunes ever. Pure melancholic track (hence the title), but so perfect and original unlike anything else.

''Right Guard'' is another marvelous track, this time on a breakbeat hardcore style, but still with some trance and acid influencies similar to ''Tears'', plus the Whitney Houston sample. It is a tune that i didn't like so much as ''Tears'', but grew me up all these years, and now is also one of my favorites.

A wicked unique UK release both sides.

Gotta disagree with the last 2 reviews. The vocals are what makes the tune. Yes,it's a wicked tune in itself, no doubt, but if you know the lyrics are coming up in the tune it's what you wait for after the fantastic, euphoric first breakdown. Took me years to track this down on a bootleg. Would love to upgrade one day to an original press, but would have to love the other side just as much!

You could take Whitney's vocals out of this and it would still stand up as a great hardcore track. The bassline is immense.

The second track Tears is by far the best tune, no cheesy lyrics just a masterpiece of rare original 1993 hardcore, techno.

This is a wicked tune, using Whitney Houstens 'I will always love you' vocals Over Hardcore Jungle! A friend also identified some Simple Minds chords on the other side aswell!
