Reviews
- Changes Of Life Reprise and Reach both have that heart-warming, late afternoon vibe with a delicate layering of production. Roots has an optimistic, persistent percussive groove that works well in building a mix.
- After a lot of crappy looped and sampled to death Techno Releases in the mid, now a very "silent", and untypical mills release. I like "Roots" very much, those pan flut melody inevitably stays in the ear.
- What is the story with the annoying buzzing in the background of "Roots"? It's so annoying. Otherwise, the track is amazing.
- never really dug the original changes of life but love the mix on here. that second line of shimmering synths :0
- very untypical mills. This misses all the ingredients that the series stands for i.e. Dancefloor friendly techno with staeming funk . This One is different . A mild and joyful ride thru some earlier works. Jeff uses unusual sounds and percussions , sounding like a xylophone . All in extreme clean sounding digital quality . The music itself is impossible to describe . (talking bout music is like dancing architecture ...) . Jeff Mills getting soft in his middle age ? I don't know bout that , but i know that i enjoy this record a lot . I find it relaxing and uplifting .
