I used to think that The Band (Brown Album, 1969) is the consummate masterpiece of this unique group, really wanted to buy Deluxe Edition with Blu-ray. It turned out that the third album is no less cool, and the Deluxe Edition is an order of magnitude better. There is no Woodstock in the brown album box on Blu-ray, I don’t know for what reason. And the Deluxe Edition Stage Fright Blu-ray has it all. And further. Better than The Royal Albert Hall, this band has no live concerts. So the Deluxe Edition, 50th Anniversary Stage Freight is better than the Deluxe Edition box of the "brown album". And one more thing: Stage Fright vinyl was pressed in Germany, Optimal Media GmbH, happily not at the Czech GZ

The US black vinyl issue (German pressing), and I believe identical to the one included in this US box set is, on it's own, a phenomenal buy at only $23. Even if you don't spring for the entire set. Go grab one of these 50th Anniversary. You won't regret. Careful opening it though. The poster is a loose wraparound on the cover.
