Still wondering how an album of such musical & lyrical quality could ever surface. Bim Sherman's best album IMO and despite it's mix of Jamaican Channel One & UK Berry St. Studios it works magnificently.
I love every piece of this album from Bim's re-work of his mid70s "Golden Locks" to "Golden Morning Star (Jah Jah Army Band)" that uses the Wailing Soul's "Dungeon"-riddim, there's so much noble musical metal collected here Fort Knox seems to be the right place to store it.
And: Playing "You Are The One" and Prince Far I's "Bedward The Flying Preacher" (from Singers & Players - Staggering Heights) ina chapter&version-stylee one may notice the genius of Jamaican songwriting and Adrian Sherwood's, too.
