Wonderful pressing and beautiful sound, full of details and felt and smooth at the same time, which is something very rare on translucent couloured vinyls. On a more artistical level, I would say that this album was certainly improvised, due to mondial pandemic, the band being prohibited from touring worldwide as it was planned. Previous "no treasure but hope" was such a masterpiece that, in my opinion, you can only find this one a little disappointing at the very first listening time.
For me, two songs emerge straight away : "Lady with the braid" (a cover song from Dory Previn) you could have seen on any of our dear Leonard Cohen's last albums, and "The Bough bends", a true success, that even seems to go further than the most beautiful songs of last year's magnificient album... Like some of their older fans, I'm not really convinced by the very long "Man alone"... but, who knows, time will tell... And the fact that this "old" band continues to astonish us is the proof that they are still alive !

A small detail : sticker on these (1st) black and blue pressings reads TINDESTICKS (R is missing)

I listened through this three times now, and I find zero flaws in my copy. It's too bad about the paper inner sleeve, but considering that there is static electricity and the record clings to the paper that also means that in shipment the record doesn't get scratched since it is stuck to the paper. I consider that a benefit, and always add a new rice paper sleeve after I clean it. I listened to it once before cleaning it in the ultrasonic cleaner, and the sound opened up afterward. The pressing is very high quality, the sound is smooth but also rich and vivid with great detail, good soundstage, and wonderful tonal balance. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and glad to own a copy of this.

it needs a good and long vacuum clean and now it sounds fantastic. the records and sleeve looks cheap, but the sound is incredible. I can not complain. music is a 9 out of 10 for a Tindersticks Album, one of their better ones. perfect new album from them.

THERE SHOULD BE A LAW AGAINST THESE BLOODY PAPER SLEEVES ! The shit was with so much static I almost ruined the record when I tried to transfer it to a poly-lined sleeve.
Otherwise, vinyl sounds nice to my ears, despite a little bit of surface noice on A side.
