- Trying to find a copy of this album which has a different sleeve than the one shown. It has a red background with a pyramid of 6 pink turtles on it, and it's one of my favorite album covers. Anyone know where to find this album with the sleeve I'm describing? It's still White Whale Records, London! Thanks
- Folks,This is one of the most overlooked albums of the Sixties. The Turtles ended up selling over 40 million records during their run and this album in my opinion was there best.Almost every song on this lp is worth a listen.Of Course the Title track "Happy Together' is one of the most recognized monster hits from the sixties. There are numerous gems also such as The theme song from the movie"Guide for the married man"Others included"The walking song",The side two opener "Makin my mind up" and the other monster hit for the Turtles "she'd rather be with me".Other notables are the obscure "Rugs of woods and flowers" showing the comedy side of Flo and Eddie [Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman"
The bonus items on this album are the great drummer "John Barbata",Monkees producer and Bass player "Chip Douglas"
Al Nichols on lead guitar and jim Tucker also on Guitar
This is a must lp for your collection of the fabulous sixties and that generation.
