- Yup, I'm with mca who posted on May 10.
I got a brand new sealed copy, but the LP's have some scuffs & marks. Were they originally dropped in paper sleeves, then taken out & put in plastic? Odd. This has no impact on the music, however.
The quality of the sound on LP's 4 & 5 is poor with a fair bit of distortion running through the music, sad given some later Zappa work was hitting vinyl for the first time. - My version is superb! (180g Black Vinyl) Crystal clear to the point that I feel like I'm sitting right in front of each performance of each track. Love it!
- Nothing against John Frizzell , in fact it’s good movie music, but I really don’t get it ... A movie about Frank Zappa and you’re getting a composer to score music in the movie??? As if there’s not enough music by FZ himself ....??? In my opinion, it should have been only Zappa music all the way through.....C’mon ...
- Edited 3 years agoAbsolute garbage, but not because of Frank. Compiling old album tracks just never was Frank's style. Didn't even use the version of Mother People with the correct verse in it. The inclusion of "Scumbag"? This is a ploy to get audiophiles to buy the same material over and over. Also half of the 3rd disc is Boring Movie Music Not Worthy Of Being Associated With Frank Zappa. Not worth the money.
