Compared to the 2015 pressing it's night and day, this particular press being miles better. Yes, the bass is ever so slightly lacking, but if you have controls on your amp just turn the bass up a bit to flavour it and you're there. The 2015 is just horrible and I feel bad if I even give it away to someone. This one is excellent, no clicks or pops on mine, nice flat record, the only issue is the centre hole is very tight to get on and off the spindle. Classic album, every track a winner!
Mine is very noisy. It's been through the spin-clean once, I will take another pass to see if it improves. Mediocre quality, it seems a little flat on my modest system.
Personally I was expecting a bigger improvement in the sound quality and dynamics. Eventhough it is miles above the previous vinyl release, I was expecting a more audiophile level sound. I am still glad they did remaster it for the 30th.
This release is heads and shoulders above the 2015 (which is one of the worst sounding vinyl I have ever owned), but it does have a slight warp that doesn't affect the play. Yes, not a lot of bottom end, but from my recollection, it wasn't different from my original 1990 copy (which I sold for necessity, but miss it a lot). Overall, a pretty decent release, and it didn't cost me a lot of money. That said, I'm a happy camper.
