Copies were sold with optional anti-static sleeves, plastic outer-sleeves and option to ship it outside of the sealed sleeve to avoid jacket seam splits, so if you see any listings not sealed but near mint this is most likely what it means.

This is still available, at the time of posting, on the Rollin Records website for $30 (plus $6 shipping): https://rollinrecs.com/chuck-persons-eccojams-vol-1/

It seems as though they used my original edited artwork for this release. (as it says kunaki and the opn logo in the bottom right) I'm not mad however, I've always wanted a pressed version of this record, and it looks we finally got one...

it's REALLY cool that we finally have a pressing with all tracks on one convenient record. however, i have some gripes about the pressing. the audio is, if i'm correct here, not even the actual original eccojams album. it's the "asterite" fan remake/remaster. so... cool, it sounds better than any tape rip out there, but pristine audio quality isn't what i go for when i listen to eccojams. the tape saturation and compression, to me, is part of what makes this album so special. i want to listen to eccojams made by *daniel lopatin*, specifically the official tape rip from dan himself.

i don't know if i'm just being too picky here (most of the tracks are fine!), but it's just extremely jarring listening to this album when there's slight details about it that aren't accurate to the original. for example, take a listen to the "one more year" track. the delay effects don't match up at all with the original 0pn version. also, the "be real" track just is too snappy, compared to the hazy and smooth version from tape (i also swear the loop goes on for a few milliseconds early or late). overall just a very odd choice to not even use the official audio that was given from the artist himself. i know it's not an official pressing, but if they were gonna go the full mile with this thing...

also, why would they put the last track of side a at the start of side b? there's plenty of blank space that could have fit the "information" track at the end there.

also bootleggers: please proofread your liner notes before you send the artwork off to the plant...
