- Edited 5 months agoWith the modern mastering and remastering we have at our disposal, this album could benefit from that treatment. I get that it probably won’t.
It’s pretty mid heavy and tinny, the bass is there, but you kind of have to really focus on it. Probably a casualty of 90’s mixing and the fact that this was pressed at a time when CD’s were King. Of course Sister sounds good. The bass is present and focused. Almost like MCA was promoting Sister as a single or something…
I absolutely love that I own it tho, I wouldn’t trade it. Was always one of my favourite albums as a kid. Just wish it would get a modern reissue - Quite possibly the thinnest record I own. Bound to warp over time, but my copy plays good at least. Tight side A causes some IGD but not horrible. Nostalgia album for me.
- Picked up a new sealed copy from Walmart for 16.00. I am amazed these are still being circulated from privates sellers.
- anyone know how many of these were pressed on wax? I just picked up the original sealed on ebay for 4.99!
