Reviews
- The good news is the pressing is top notch being flat, bang on centre and groove defect free... a bloody rarity in itself!
The bad news is the mastering is quite flat. Dont get me wrong its not the worst ive heard, theres no real nasties and i dont get sibilances (thank god) but its not as good as the £5 CD version and thats the cold hard truth for vinyl fanboys.
This is easily one of the greatest albums by a female artist of all time. One of the greatest of the 90's. It really needs a 2LP 45rpm pressing to shine and it would come ALIVE! - I got this one off of Amazon. From what I can tell, I got lucky. Sounds amazing. Sure it lacks low end, but so does the 1995 CD. I chalk it up to that's what was intended. Notable exception on this pressing and on the CD would be You Learn. Head Over Feet also has some low end. Again, on this pressing as well as the 1995 CD.
- Listened for the third time tonight. This pressing is beautiful. So clean and clear with no noise at all. Dynamic and detailed master. Love this record
- Some tracks could do with a little bit of boost in the bass, but the mastering was spot on for the Jagged Little Pill track. Overall a winner this copy.
- I listened to this after listening to Abbey Road and wow, what a difference! It’s really missing the low end. I don’t remember the cd lacking low end.
- This sounds amazing, so much more detail than the CD I am used to hearing over the last 25 odd years?
Really detailed with some lovely bass guitar. To say this cost me £15 via Amazon UK Warehouse because the cover had a small corner bend, no real issue as I don't play the cover !!! Inside its plastic protective cover you can't even tell.
Bloody bargain, thanks BG/ CB as ever !!! - The one I just got from Acoustic Sounds has this exact packaging but the matrices read like this:
