I got a copy and was very impressed. It’s one of the better reissues. Lots of detail in the percussion and cymbals. I fiddled with my amp EQ and Direct switch for each song.
I played disc 1 on a Technics SL-1210MKII with Ortofon OM20 cartridge and it sounded great. Then I swapped over to a Rega Planar 2 with an Ortofon VMS22 cartridge and it was even more detailed. I have an original 1991 pressing that I must take for a spin to compare!

Great sounding record even on Sony's PS-LX310BT budget turntable, one of the best sounding LP's I've ever heard. It definitely surprised me how good can well produced LP sound and how much noticeable differences there are even on budget. I didn't think my turntable could produce such well defined soundstage or balanced punchy sound. Those layered guitars are just marvelous and you can hear them all on unbelievable clarity.

So, where's the catch? Well, here it comes... inner sleeve. I cannot believe these cardboard sleeves they use on some of these reissues... I think P600 sandpaper would be easier on vinyls than these. Needless to say, order some plastic/paper sleeves along with record to prevent surface damage. That solves also the paper dust issues these sleeves seem to produce.

        If only this was gatefolded…

Not bad for a modern remaster. GZ still has a few quality problems but they are nowhere near as bad as before. Sonically this is good; big, bold and rich but ultimately overcooked and fatiguing to listen to. The original EU was not perfect but had a more natural balance.

It's the 5th or 6th GZ-media pressed release of 2020 that I bought. And amazingly all of them sound great, so the plant defo upped its game.
This record had some paper dust on it, other then that both LPs are clean, flat, sound big and bright with great dynamics and no background noise.
So looks like GZ media press is no longer a stigma. At least for me.
